Object59 & 18ForeLife

Saturday, June 4, 2011 - 3:42pm

Object59 is happy to be part of this event:

In late 1999, a few people got together and thought up the idea of a benefit golf tournament. We wanted to do something good, something simple, and something to genuinely help people in need. The V-Foundation seemed like the perfect charity to donate to. Named after the legendary Coach Jim Valvano, the organization has its own team of doctors who do nothing but research a cure for cancer of all kinds. The V-Foundation has an inspiring motto that fits the spirit of 18 FORE Life as well;  “Don’t Ever Give Up!”

In our “rookie” year, we intended to send all of the money we raised to the V-Foundation. After playing in the golf tournament, a local sponsor asked if we kept any money local. That great question sparked a terrific idea and turned 18 FORE Life into something more than just a simple fundraiser for the V-Foundation. From that day forward, we would still support the V-Foundation, but we would keep the majority of our earnings and give them away locally to families battling cancer in the form of what we call “love offerings”. These love offerings, along with a note of hope, love, and encouragement not only the inspiration to the families that receive them, but also provide the motivation to an army of volunteers who are constantly working to do more.

We at Object59 would like to congratulate PGA Tour member Paul Goydos on becoming only the 4th player on the PGA Tour to accomplish shooting 59 in an 18 hole round.  Mr. Goydos did so today at the John Deer Classic.  It's been quite a while since 59 has been posted on the tour.  The last time it happened was 11 years ago at the 1999 Bob Hope Classic in Palm Springs, California.

Come on guys...Let's see some more 59's.

We Love Thank You Notes

Bob Edmonston Testimonial

It personally makes me feel like my efforts are worth something when I receive a hand-writen note in the mail from someone expressing how much they enjoy their Object 59 Trousers.  I personally spent a ton of time designing all of the Golf Trousers you see within this website.

Bob Edmonston (I hope I spelled that correctly) was the first person to receive a pair of trousers, and he was gracious enough to send a thank you note.  It means a lot Bob, Thank you!

Stephen Trouser OCC Golf Team Golf TrouserI spoke with Sean Collins the Coach of the Orange Coast College Golf team this evening at Costa Mesa Country Club.

He is finally going to man up and let the guys wear some fashion forward Object 59 gear. The golf team will be wearing the Tech Polo (White & Navy). The golf Trousers they will be wearing are the "Stephen Trouser".  We are going to customize the rear pocket flap to have the OCC Golf Team logo.  The top 6 players on the team will be getting some custom all white slacks that will be named soon.  If anyone has any ideas on the name feel free to post them on the Facebook fan page.

Allegedly, they will actually have some good footwear too.  The team will be outfitted with Adidas shoes.  (shhhh.  guys, don't tell Coach I told you.  It might be a surprize)

They will be wearing Object 59 headwear with the OCC Golf Team Logo.

NOW OPEN: Object 59 Online Store

Saturday, November 28, 2009 - 8:58am

After two years in business Object 59 has a clear and defined path for selling its merchandise.  When I set out in to start a golf clothing company I truely thought it would be easier.  This was back in 2007, the economy was still good & people were still spending money on clothes.  So I thought it would be easy.  Easy to design, easy to produce, easy to market, easy to sell.  Well suffice to say, nothing has been easy.  There has been one thing that has been easy, the acceptance of a new clothing company into the mens apparel marketplace.  It seems as though everyone that sees a pair of Object 59 Trousers, wants them.  The problem up to this point has been production of enough inventory to satisfy the demand in the marketplace. 2009 Texas State Open

One of the primary objectives Object 59 has been to frequently produce a very limited collection that is unique and that people would enjoy wearing.  I came up with this objective as the result of being involved with Volcom in the start up phase.  Back in 1991 when Volcom first set out they had only a few different designs and made lot of it.  The mustard color "Horney Toad Skin walk shorts, "Go Go Pussy-Galore" board shorts, and a few graphic tees.  All of the products were so unique and cool.  The only problem was that every time I would go somewhere there would be 5 people in the room wearing the exact same clothes as I was.

This always annoyed me and I got me thinking about the prospect of inventing a clothing line that you could accomplish the task of rarely see someone wearing the exact same thing you are wearing.  This especially hold true with our unique and funky golf trousers.  It's actually funny.  Take "Loud Mouth Golf Pants" for example.  Their designs are unique, loud and bright.  But what's worse than showing up at the golf course and seeing that your buddy is wearing the exact same "Loud Mouth" golf slacks as you.

Back to my point, in August we finally found what we needed.  A domestic sewing contractor that was willing to help us acheive the goal of producing a limited collection.  By limited collection I mean, only 50 pieces per style will be produced.  So the bottom line is get the product while it's hot, because it will be the only time you see it & with only 50 pieces made and sold across the entire united states, the chance of you seeing someone else wearing the same thing you are is slim to none.
